American River dog harnesses are made from tightly woven mesh polyester to help keep your pup cool on walks. The fabric is lightweight and flexible for added comfort. Zigzag stitching is used for durability. The harness is machine washable.

This pet harness closes with Velcro tabs and a heavy-duty plastic clip for double protection from your dog escaping. Twin D-rings connect to most standard leashes.

Your pup's chest measurement should fall in between the chest measurement of the harness. Most returns are because the harness is too small, so if your dog is on the larger end of a size, it's best to go up to the next size.

If your dog is right in between sizes, you can order two harnesses and return the one that doesn’t fit for a refund. No problem at all.

Your dog’s chest measurement is more important than weight when it comes to choosing the correct size harness. Think of it like pants for a human. You can’t pick out the right size pants if you only know someone’s weight.

Measure all the way around your dog’s chest, right behind the front legs. Your dog’s chest measurement should fall BETWEEN the chest measurements of the harness.

Sizing isn’t standard in the pet world. A size small in one dog harness brand isn’t always the same as a small in another harness brand.

If your dog is right in between sizes, you can order two harnesses and return the one that doesn’t fit for a refund. No problem at all.
