Made of soft nylon, the Step-in Strider dog harness is trimmed with soft cotton padding around the edges and leg openings. That little bit of extra padding provides more comfort for your pup. A large plastic snap makes it easier for you to get this harness on and off your little dog.

A step-in dog harness is made so your pup's front paws go in first. Once you put your pup's front paws through the leg openings, you then wrap the harness over your dog's back. To remove the harness, unbuckle the harness and lower it to the floor so your pup can step out. The Step-in Strider is very easy to get on and off your dog.
A step-in harness is a great choice if you have a dog afraid of having something pulled over his or her head.
Choke-free design.
If your little doggy pulls on the leash, you'll be happy to know this harness is low cut and sits below your pup's throat. If your pup pulls on the leash or lunges at another dog, all of that pulling pressure is directed to your dog's chest, instead of the throat.
The choke-free design also makes this a good harness for use with car seats and seat belt leashes.
Breathable fabric to keep your doggy comfy and cool.
Step-In Strider dog harnesses are have a vented liner and a honeycomb shell to help keep your pup cool on walks in warmer climates. The fabric is lightweight and flexible to allow your pup to move naturally.
Secures with Velcro closures AND a snap.
This pet harness stays securely closed with Velcro tabs and a heavy-duty plastic clip. Twin D-rings connect to most standard leashes.

Choosing the right size harness for your little dog.
Measure. Measure. Measure.
Your dog’s chest measurement is more important than weight when it comes to choosing the correct size harness. Think of it like pants for a human. You can’t pick out the right size pants if you only know someone’s weight.
Measure all the way around your dog’s chest, right behind the front legs. Your dog’s chest measurement should fall BETWEEN the chest measurements of the harness.
Sizing isn’t standard in the pet world. Size small in one brand isn’t always the same as a small in another brand.

The neck area is a little loose for chihuahuas, def recommend xs not s, especially if they’re at the bottom measurement for the size range. I wish they were a little more adjustable. And I wish they all had different colored leashes! When they get tangled (cuz who only has one…) it can be a little more challenging to separate them quickly. Great buckles, extremely sturdy! Great leash hook up loops, extra strong!
